Close Protection
Close protection officers for individuals and families, deployed openly or discreetly, singly or as a team, at home and when travelling.
What this covers
Close protection is the planned, close-proximity protection of a person. A close protection officer assesses the risks around the principal's movements and venues, plans routes and arrivals, and stays close enough to act while remaining as unobtrusive as the client wishes.
We provide officers individually or as teams: overt protection where a visible presence is part of the deterrent, or low-profile cover where discretion matters more. Assignments are joined up with secure transport, residential security and advance work at venues, so that protection is continuous rather than a series of separate bookings.
Our team's backgrounds include UK policing, military and government service. We match officers to the principal, the family and the setting, so that the people around you fit the way you live and work.
Who it suits
Private individuals and families, principals with a public profile, and family offices arranging protection for family members in the UK or abroad.
It also suits clients who need protection for a specific period, such as a trip, an event or a time of heightened concern.
Scope
One-off
A single officer or team for a defined trip, event or period, with a risk assessment and advance work beforehand.
Retained
A named, briefed team available at agreed notice, so protection can start without repeating the planning each time.
Ongoing managed
A managed protection detail with rotas, operating procedures, supervision and regular reporting to the principal or family office.

How we run it
We assess the principal's profile, routines, travel and venues to establish what level of protection is proportionate. We plan routes, timings, venues, vehicles and contingencies, and agree how the team will work alongside the family and staff.
We select and brief officers suited to the principal and the setting, with advance work at venues where it is needed. A team leader manages the detail day to day, maintains standards and updates the plan as itineraries change. After each assignment, or at agreed intervals on longer details, you receive a written summary with any recommendations.
