Domestic Couple
A domestic couple shares the running of a home, typically combining housekeeping and cooking with driving, maintenance or house management, and often living on site.
What the role covers
Housekeeping, laundry and care of the house and its contents.
Cooking for the family and, where required, for guests.
Driving, gardening, maintenance and care of the property and grounds.
Looking after the house while the family is away, including security checks and contractor visits.
How we recruit and vet
Every candidate is interviewed, and we take up references from recent employers directly rather than relying on written letters alone. We check identity and the right to work in the UK, and verify the qualifications and experience a candidate claims.
We interview both partners and take up references for each, and we discuss living arrangements and the division of duties openly before a placement is agreed.
