Discreet, experienced chauffeurs and private drivers, including security-trained drivers for families who need them, who drive safely and comfortably and look after the vehicles in their care.
What the role covers
Driving the family and guests safely and discreetly, including school runs, airport transfers and longer journeys.
Planning routes and timings, and adapting to changes in the day's schedule.
Keeping vehicles clean, serviced and ready, and managing fuel, insurance and maintenance records.
For security drivers, advanced driving and the ability to support close protection outside the vehicle.
How we recruit and vet
Every candidate is interviewed, and we take up references from recent employers directly rather than relying on written letters alone. We check identity and the right to work in the UK, and verify the qualifications and experience a candidate claims.
We check driving licences and driving history and assess driving standards. For security driving roles, we also verify relevant training and any licence the role requires.
Indicative package
As an indication, a recent private driver vacancy we advertised in South Kensington offered £65,000 to £70,000 plus bonus. Pay for security-trained drivers varies with experience, hours and responsibilities.
