Corporate Investigations
Investigations for companies and their advisers, covering fraud, employee matters, due diligence, leaks and digital evidence.
What this covers
Corporate investigations help organisations understand what happened and who was involved, so that they can act proportionately. Typical matters include internal fraud and financial crime, employee misconduct, commercial disputes, leaks of confidential information, and due diligence on partners, acquisitions and senior hires.
We gather evidence lawfully, preserve it carefully and work alongside your legal, HR and compliance teams. Where a matter has a digital element, we coordinate technical and cyber investigation with the rest of the inquiry.
Findings are reported in writing, in a form your advisers can rely on.
Who it suits
Companies, boards, in-house legal and HR teams, and law firms acting for corporate clients.
It also suits family businesses and private companies that need an independent inquiry handled discreetly.
Scope
One-off
A single inquiry or due diligence report with agreed scope, timescale and budget.
Retained
Investigative support on call for the legal, HR or compliance team, on agreed terms.
Ongoing managed
A standing programme of pre-hire, supplier or partner due diligence, with regular reporting.

How we run it
We agree the question to be answered, the legal constraints and who in your organisation is instructing us. We plan the inquiry, including document review, interviews, open-source research and any digital work.
We assign investigators and, where needed, technical specialists, and begin inquiries. A case lead directs the inquiry, protects the evidence and updates your nominated contact at agreed points. We deliver a written report of findings and support your advisers in using it.
